Since I was younger, my primary mission has been to relieve tension in the lives of others. I have a deep passion for helping people on their journey towards self-actualization, particularly in terms of their career. I want to help people into a career that fills them with passion and enforce a healthy work environment that will make them want to stay. I am motivated by witnessing growth and find satisfaction from helping others maximize their potential. When it comes to a career, I hope to contribute to the advancement of company culture by hiring exceptional candidates and maintaining a favorable workplace.
I am pursuing a BA in Strategic and Corporate Communication with a minor in Leadership Studies at Chapman University and will graduate this upcoming May. During my time at Chapman I was introduced to the concept of Servant Leadership, which is viewing leadership opportunities as a way to serve and empower others. This is something that I will continue to practice as I enter the professional world. I am an aspiring Human Resources and Recruiting Leader with strengths that include discipline, responsibility, and harmony. I am known for the order and structure I create and maintain in a professional environment and having a routine is always one of my biggest priorities. I am a pragmatic person who can help others look at situations through an objective lens when seeking agreement or consensus. I desire to understand the unique qualities of individuals and discover the ways in which they can produce quality work together. I prioritize comprehension and strive to understand and embody rules, policies in both my professional and personal life.
I was able to utilize these strengths in a professional setting during my internship this past summer, where I independently hired over 50 new employees within 3 months for a recruiter on maternity leave. I exercised my creativity when I co-created a leadership training module for over 19,000 company employees to help improve the quality and effectiveness of meetings. I was given the honor of interviewing for and writing over five published spotlight articles on various employees to extend appreciation and strengthen culture. This past semester I was able to put my Leadership Minor into play as a Chapman Cheer Co-Captain. I managed 20 team members by handling attendance or eligibility conflicts, creating and teaching material and nominating chair positions in order to keep the program organized and running smoothly.
